Brown for Attorney General is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information that you submit to us online. We will treat your contact information as private and confidential and will not provide your information to any other organization unless you authorize us to do so.

How we use the information you provide:

We use the personal information that you give us to fulfill your email notification requests, process your donations, and to comply with applicable State election regulations and other laws. It is our general policy not to make personal information available to anyone other than our employees or agents who need to know that information in the course of their duties.

When you join or volunteer on JerryBrown.org, we ask for your name, address, telephone number and email address. We will use the information you provide to send you news and information about Jerry including news reports, blog postings and insider updates. Your city information will be used to help plot Jerry’s statewide supporters. Your name and city will be available for other Friends of Jerry to view. But in no case will we disclose your street address, e-mail address, or telephone number without your permission. We will not sell your information to any third party.

We want to make it easy for you to share the website with our "spread the word" feature. When you use this feature, the addresses of those you are communicating with are not added to our lists and they will not be contacted by us unless they actually come to the site and register themselves.

If you make a campaign contribution by credit or debit card, the credit or debit card information along with the billing address you provide will be automatically connected, via a secured server, to the necessary processing company for transaction purposes. For legal and accounting purposes, contribution records will remain in our database and with the California Secretary of State. We set and access session cookies on your computer. These cookies are only used in connection with your session and login information, and are only used within our site.

We do not solicit or knowingly collect personal information from children. Visitors who are 13 years of age and under should ask their parent or legal guardian for assistance when using our web site and should not submit any personally identifying information to the site.
