Just introduced myself at the campaign's weekly Monday morning meeting. Seems like a group of smart, interesting people; I'm excited to start working with them.
Jerry's wife, Anne, was kind enough to bring in some homemade banana bread. 'Although it isn't Jerry's mother's famous banana cake,' she told us as we passed it around the table, 'as Jerry reminded me over and over again last night.'
Sure enough, Jerry arrived at the office a few minutes later and saw us enjoying Anne's treat. 'Banana bread!' he boomed as he moseyed his way upstairs. 'Not as good as my mom's, of course, but it'll do.'
I'm quickly learning that Jerry himself will be a significant presence around the campaign office.
